The students obviously benefit from having their studies paid for, but above all the programme gives them a unique opportunity to combine theory with practice and to develop highly marketable skills through the Company-School formula. There is also a strong likelihood that they will be offered a job at the end of their course by the company that has invested in them for more than two years.

There is also a twofold benefit for the company: on the one hand, the firm cultivates its image as a social company, and on the other hand it is able to recruit people chosen after a long-term 'trial and training period'.
Finally, EDHEC gains through the strengthening of the already very close links with the corporate world. The relationships developed between the EDHEC professors who will be the tutors and the business executives and managers who will be the training supervisors will provide new pedagogical input for the professors' courses, perhaps resulting in material for new research projects
In 2005, EDHEC reaffirmed its commitment to drawing its students closer to the corporate world by designing a totally innovative programme: The European Apprenticeship Track, a rotating blend of theoretical course work and in-company placements. Through learning about how business works in the heart of the company, this programme aims to facilitate student integration into the world of business. In close collaboration with the Ile-de-France district and Formasup Paris, the european Apprenticeship Track is now in its second year.
In addition, the multicultural aspect of the course will be reinforced in the longer term by the participation of students from all over Europe since the Apprenticeship Track is geared towards European nationals who would like to obtain the EDHEC diploma.
During the 27 months of their Master programme, the students spend successive
periods in a company where they come to grips with the realities of the business world, interspersed with academic periods in EDHEC's new Parisian campus where they acquire theoretical management expertise. From the considerable hands-on experience gained, the students are able to put their academic learning into perspective and also to put the wealth of theoretical knowledge delivered by
their professors to the test.
In addition to the tremendous skill training gained, the students also receive
a monthly salary of more than 60% of the SMIC (minimum wage in France) and their EDHEC tuition course fees are paid by the company.
Thanks to this intensive coaching, the European Apprenticeship Track will provide a real hothouse for cultivating managerial competences in students.
The European Apprenticeship Track fits in perfectly with learning teams and E-learning, enabling the students to take a highly global perspective and to apply their ideas in hands-on situations.
