Role and responsibilities
The candidate will be primarily tasked to design and build APIs. As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for the followings:
- Design API architecture and data pipeline that satisfies the needs of different functions
- Productionise code from data scientists
- Implement robust, scalable, high-performant, and secured solutions
- Operate, maintain, support, and optimize the solutions
- Provide code documentation and participate in code reviews
- Work with different teams to meet project goals and operational requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with big data and data warehouse projects
- Advanced knowledge and experience in REST API frameworks, preferably Python FastAPI
- Good working knowledge and experience in big data technologies such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch
- Knowledge and experience in relational database such as MySQL and Postgres
- Knowledge and experience in CI/CD processes and tools such as Airflow, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, etc.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python (mandatory), Java, and R
- Familiar with AWS cloud services such as EC2 and S3
- The candidate should be a self-learner
- A degree in computer science or engineering is preferred but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered
