Pierre Courtioux, PhD, is Research Director at the EDHEC Economics Research Centre at EDHEC Business School. He is also an associate researcher at the Centre of Economics (CNRS University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). He holds a doctorate in economics and is qualified to direct research. He has mainly worked on employment and social protection issues, notably in the Research Department of Economic Studies and Statistics (Ministry of Health and Ministry of Employment). He has carried out expertise work for various French institutions (CAE, COR, ONPES, CGI, France-Strategie) and international institutions (CEDEFOP, European Commission, ILO). In 2016, Pierre Courtioux worked on the social mixity at school. He has also participated in the collective work published by the ILO (International Labour Organization)"Europe's Disappearing Middle Class? Evidence from the World of Work" by studying the stability of the middle classes in France.
