THE EDHEC EXPERIENCE

 

Lille with its leafy campus, Nice close to the sea and Paris a stone’s throw from the famous opera… each campus is a unique venue. All of them are designed to foster contact with staff and to be conducive to sport, thanks to the many facilities on offer (sports rooms, pool, pitches).

GENDER EQUALITY INDEX

The Gender Equality Index was designed to ensure equal pay for men and women in corporate settings. EDHEC Business School uses this index, and its overall score (as of February 23, 2024) is 89 out of 100.

EDHEC'S SOCIAL COMMITMENTS

•     EDHEC respects its statutory obligations regarding working conditions and payment of a living wage to all its staff and faculty members. EDHEC organizes annual collective bargaining and annual salary negotiations with its staff and their representatives.

•    EDHEC respects the Independent Private Higher Education Collective Agreement's conditions regarding union representation as well as national statutory obligations for this domain.

•    EDHEC respects its statutory obligations not to practice any form of discrimination towards its staff in accordance with the national Code du Travail and as condemned in the national Penal Code. EDHEC fights all forms of discrimination and, those related to sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ethnical backgrounds, socioeconomic backgrounds, health conditions...

•    EDHEC respects national statutory obligations that outlaw slavery in all forms, including by respecting the relevant laws published in the national Code du Travail and the Code Pénal, as well as are outlined in the French Constitution. Slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and child labor are forbidden. 

•    EDHEC service providers for outsources activities have a statutory obligation to conform with the law's requirements for protecting their employees and maintaining national employment standards. EDHEC makes sure before contracting with any provider that those requirements are respected. 

•    EDHEC is engaged to offer to all its staff and faculty members pay scale equity and to reduce gender pay gaps. EDHEC measures and publishes the yearly gender equality index according to legal requirements in force since 2019, which helps to monitor EDHEC progress on pay gaps, individual promotions and salary increase, salary increase after a maternity leave, and proportion od the under-represented gender among the school top 10 highest compensations. 

•    There is a salary appeal process at EDHEC, particurlaly for subjects related to working conditions, evaluation, salary, career development and promotion. All staff and faculty members have access to appropriate HR contacts, trade union representatives and can obtain background information on working conditions.

•    All EDHEC staff and faculty members benefit from maternity and paternity leaves as defined in the national Code du Travail.
