2020, an “extraordinary” year in the proper sense of the term.
2020 has confronted us all together with an exceptional, unprecedented situation that will stay in our memories for a long time.
But 2020 has also been a historic and extremely rich year for our School.
In this context - complex and therefore conducive to innovation - we launched our ambitious “Impact for Future Generations 2025” strategic plan. At a time when business schools are being challenged to demonstrate their real utility to society, EDHEC is engaging in favour of future generations. This strategic plan is designed to engineer an in-depth transformation of EDHEC:
1. through our research: make EDHEC the go-to business school worldwide in terms of sustainable finance;
2. through our programmes: train EDHEC students and alumni who are ever-more eager to engage actively in major global transformations;
3. through our model: engage EDHEC in the technological and digital revolution, so as to make the School a pivotal platform for the creation and transmission of knowledge.
This year has also brought the renewal of our EQUIS international accreditation for five years. This means EDHEC retains its place in the select group of around 100 business schools worldwide (fewer than 1%) that are triple-accredited by the three main international agencies certifying the quality of business schools.
Lastly, EDHEC rose to 14th position in the Financial Times ranking of top European business schools, thereby cementing its status as France’s fourth-placed business school. This ranking reflects EDHEC’s performance in all the Financial Times international rankings in 2020 as well as the choices we have been making for many years in terms of quality, selectivity and innovation in our programmes. It also testifies to the success, diversity of profiles and high degree of satisfaction of our graduates.
In domestic terms, in an unprecedented change, EDHEC was finally recognised as the fourth-ranking business school in France by the French media titles Challenges, Le Parisien, L’Etudiant and Le Figaro.
These rankings round off a year that has confirmed the School’s rising momentum and further cemented its place among Europe’s top establishments.
We thank you for your confidence. You can rest assured that we remain committed to serving you and our students, whatever the circumstances.
We wish you an excellent end-of-year holiday period. We look forward to contacting you again in 2021 and wish you an inspiring year that is open to new horizons.
