  • In 2006, 91% of employment were in the tertiary sector and services.
  • Lille is part of the 4th largest urban area after Paris, Lyon and Marseille. The conurbation includes Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing,     Villeneuve d’Ascq among other cities.
  • The city used to be a major mechanical, food industry and textile manufacturing centre.
  • With over 119,000 students, Lille is one of France’s top student cities.
  • It is the home city of the largest flea market in Europe called "Braderie". It happens once a year on the first weekend of           September.

From Paris Orly airport

Take a shuttle called ORLYVAL towards ANTONY – get off at ANTONY station. Then take the RER B towards “AEROPORT CHARLES DE GAULLE 2 TGV” until Paris Nord. Then you can take a high speed train to Lille Europe or Lille Flandres train station.

 

From Paris Charles de Gaulles airport

Take a high speed train from “AEROPORT CHARLES DE GAULLE 2 TGV” to Lille Europe train station (1 hour). It is better to book it in advance on the SNCF Website.

 

From Lille-Lesquin airport

By taxi

The taxi stand is located close to the arrivals hall. It costs about 40€.

By shuttle

The shuttle stop is located opposite the Arrivals hall. Approximate travel time to reach Lille by shuttle: 20 minutes. The shuttle will drop you off in front of the main entrance of the Euralille shopping center – then from this place you can easily reach Lille Flandres metro station located at about 1-minute-walk. A single ticket: 7€. More information on the airport website.

 

From Lille Flandres/Lille Europe train stations

By taxi

From Lille Flandres train station, taxis are located close to McDonald’s.

From Lille Europe train station, they are located in front of the Crowne Plaza hotel.

By metro

Take the line #2 (red one) towards CH Dron and get off at “Mairie de Croix” metro station (15 minutes). Then the campus can be reached in about 15 minutes by foot or by bus (line 36 towards Rue de Tressin (Forest-sur-Marque)).

By tramway

Take the tramway towards Roubaix (green line) and get off at "Villa Cavrois" tramway station (20 minutes). Then you will reach EDHEC Campus within 12 minutes by foot.

 Bus 36 stop: every 25mn, it takes you to the "Mairie de Croix" metro station and the "Parc Barbieux" tramway stop.
