Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Join a growing and global team focused on measuring climate risks and bringing new data and rating services to investors. As climate physical and transition risks increasingly impact investors’ portfolios and corporate balance sheets, the need for high-quality climate risk data and assessment tools is rising.

Scientific Cliamte Ratings is looking for a Platform Engineer (AI / DevOps) to own the infrastructure layer underpinning our climate risk platform, including cloud environments, CI/CD, and the deployment and orchestration of AI products. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines

  • Develop and deploy AI solutions to meet business goals

  • Operate, maintain and optimise platform services with strong reliability, security, observability, monitoring and incident response

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features

 

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience with exposure to platform engineering

  • Strong experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, storage, networking)

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), and containerisation (Docker)

  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus

  • Experience deploying and operating LLM-based or AI agent workflows in production is a plus

  • Strong Python proficiency (mandatory)

  • Familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases

  • Self-learner with a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered
