Laure Amouyal is a Global Business track student. Last year, she studied at UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, where she shared her experience with us. She said she had learned a lot from her work experience at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles but also from the other international students she lived with at UCLA, an international students housing residence.

This year, she studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and tells us about her Asian experience.

"Singapore is a mix of jungle and futuristic buildings. I really enjoy its cultural diversity with people coming from all around the globe. Nanyang Technological University (NTU)'s campus is huge and in order to get from one place to another, you can use the "campus ride" bus that drops you off anywhere you want for free. NTU is a very modern institution that provides you with everything you need: food courts, libraries, computer rooms, chilling rooms, a gym, restaurants, supermarkets, a health centre, gardens, sports courts, associations, coffee places... And of course, it is a formidable environment to study at. The Hive, a dim sum baskets lookalike building, is my favourite place to go with plenty of study rooms, classrooms, community and multi-purpose spaces.

Our Global Business track class received a warm welcome from NTU and EDHEC representatives back in September. They gave us a comprehensive overview of what we could expect from our academic year in Singapore, guided us on a visit of the most important places to know on campus and we received our shirt and jackets as well as some class materials.
Then, dive into our classes: Cultural Intelligence, International Finance, Bachelor Thesis Seminars and Digital Marketing. Our professors are exceptional.

I hope this year will teach me many hard skills needed to impress my future employers. The Bachelor thesis project that we will focus on all year with a sponsoring company is a great opportunity to work on a tangible project and I believe it will bring us many skills and tools to enter the job market. It is such a blast to study in one of the best university in Asia, I hope I will make the most of it!"
