Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships are transnational projects designed to develop and share innovative practices and promote cooperation, peer learning, and exchanges of experiences in the fields of education, training, and youth. Overall, they aim to address horizontal priorities as well as field specific priorities in the areas of higher education, vocational education and training.

The A.R.T.I.S.A.N project was successfully submitted to the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education by EDHEC Business School – EDHEC Family Business Centre in partnership with other institutions from Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus.

A.R.T.I.S.A.N is the acronym for “AspiRing enTrepreneurIal families to perpetuate cultural buSiness Across geNerations”. EDHEC is engaged in this project as a French representative in collaboration with five other European institutions.

EDHEC Project ranked 2nd amongst all applications

Ranked 2nd amongst all applications in the same category, A.R.T.I.S.A.N addresses a niche need of families in business in the artisan and agro-tourism sectors. As such, it aims at developing entrepreneurial training programs, tools, and structures that support their continuity and growth in competitive environments.

Building on a qualitative and quantitative research phase, the outcomes include the development of an Entrepreneurial Training Programme, a Train-the-Trainers handbook and guidebook, a casebook, an online platform as well as publications intended to enhance the entrepreneurial skills and potential of family members nested in these enterprises.

The A.R.T.I.S.A.N Project intends to address a niche need for family businesses in the artisan and agro-tourism sectors. Throughout research and training programs development, our hope is to support entrepreneurial family members by helping to ensure the growth and continuity of their businesses. Rania LABAKI
