At EDHEC, student associations are a pillar of the student experience. With nearly 90 student associations, the campuses thrive with impactful projects led by students committed to tackling major economic, social and environmental challenges.
Student associations at the heart of the EDHEC experience
Studying at EDHEC is about much more than acquiring academic knowledge: it is about learning to take action, cooperate and take on responsibilities within a community. On our campuses in Lille and Nice, student associations enable students to get involved in practical projects, meet people from diverse backgrounds and develop their entrepreneurial skills, in line with the School’s mission.
This vibrant community spirit makes EDHEC an active, open and engaged community, where every student can find a project that aligns with their interests, values and ambitions.

Learning by doing
Involvement in voluntary associations is a formative experience: by joining an association, students learn to turn an idea into a project, to work as part of a team, to manage a budget, to engage partners and to assess the results of their actions. These responsibilities help them develop essential skills for their personal and professional futures: leadership, adaptability, a sense of community, project management and initiative.
Community life thus provides a genuine opportunity to learn by doing, complementing academic education by giving students the chance to experiment, make decisions and develop their skills in a practical setting.
Student projects that make a difference
EDHEC’s student associations help to bring the campuses to life, whilst also making a positive impact beyond the School. Through their projects, students are active in a wide range of areas, such as access to culture, equal opportunities, solidarity, inclusion, health, the environment and responsible entrepreneurship. In this way, they address real needs and build bridges between the campuses and their local communities.
This commitment gives a strong civic dimension to student life: students learn to identify issues, develop effective solutions and act collectively to make a real difference.
Responsible student life
Because student associations represent EDHEC’s image and values, they are supported within a structured, demanding and responsible framework. The School offers dedicated training courses and programmes covering project management, the law governing associations, responsible communication, risk prevention, and the fight against discrimination and violence. Regular meetings also enable student organisation leaders to share their experiences and receive personalised support throughout the year.
This approach enables student associations to develop their projects within a safe, inclusive and respectful environment, making student life a genuine space for learning, citizenship and responsibility.
EDHEC has created the Citizen Association label to encourage and recognise student associations committed to responsible practices, by strengthening their social, societal or environmental impact. As part of the Générations 2050 strategic plan, this label embodies the School’s mission: to educate for transformation, whilst empowering students to gain experience in project management, decision-making and teamwork.
Joining an EDHEC-labelled association therefore means taking part in a collective and civic-minded experience that goes far beyond campus life: students learn to champion ideas, develop solutions and act for the common good, as part of a journey that is at once academic, professional and socially engaged.
