Internships
To complete their degree, students enrolled in the online programme must undertake a six-month end-of-studies internship within a company.
I chose the dual degree to combine digital engineering and management, with a specialisation in finance. Demanding yet comprehensive, the programme has allowed me to experience a wide range of opportunities: a semester abroad, involvement in student life, and over 12 months of professional experience.
In my third year, I completed a six-month internship at Crédit Mutuel Asset Management, where I worked on fund development projects and credit analysis. This experience strengthened my versatility and adaptability.
Noémie Turlotte
4th year student
Dual expertise is a major asset in the age of AI: being able to understand technical challenges and translate them into strategy makes you versatile — whether in a company or when launching your own start-up. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. My six-month internship at Chanel in my third year enabled me to develop my skills in data, teamwork, and rigour — and confirmed my ambition to move towards entrepreneurship. I chose the BIDM as my first choice, as it strikes the right balance between the rigour of a preparatory course and the richness of a post-baccalaureate business school.
Hugo Gesland
4th year student
What I like most about this dual degree is the variety of courses and the personalised guidance we receive. The Bachelor’s in Digital Engineering and Management is an excellent programme that perfectly combines the engineering and management training I was looking for.
Marie-Lou LEROY
3rd year student
Having hesitated for a long time between studying at a business school or an engineering school, the Bachelor’s in Digital Engineering and Management turned out to be one of the best choices I could have made to understand the importance of both skill sets. The programme’s structure encourages mutual support and creates a strong sense of cohesion among students.

Careers
Your Professional Project
The IDM Bachelor maintains strong relationships with companies across all sectors, both in services and industry, benefiting from the network of both institutions.
Students will have the opportunity to take part in corporate events, organised both by UTC and by EDHEC.
Furthermore, as part of their studies, in addition to a one-month introductory internship in the first year, students will undertake two six-month internships within a company, allowing for a sufficiently long integration to gain real experience and build professional connections.
The final six-month internship serves as the end-of-studies project and concludes the programme with a dissertation.

FAQ
The Dual Degree in Digital Engineering and Management is structured in two phases. During the first and second years, students study the fundamentals of engineering at UTC (Université de Technologie de Compiègne). In the third and fourth years, they join EDHEC Business School in Lille, where they choose a specialisation. The four years of study are complemented by internships, enabling students to gain hands-on professional experience and put their knowledge into practice.
At the end of the four years of study, graduates can either enter the job market directly or continue their studies. They go on to pursue diverse careers in areas such as technology management consulting, digital project management, data and information systems, digital finance, and entrepreneurship. Thanks to their dual expertise, they are also well suited for roles in finance, e-commerce, marketing, and technology.
After completing the dual degree, students may choose to pursue a Master of Science at EDHEC or continue their studies at UTC to obtain an engineering degree in Computer Science. This dual programme provides excellent preparation for further studies, both in France and internationally.
To validate their degree, students must spend at least one semester abroad, either as part of an academic exchange or through an internship.
The Dual Degree in Digital Engineering and Management is open to applicants holding a French Baccalauréat or an international qualification equivalent to the Baccalauréat. Applications are made through Parcoursup for students preparing a French Baccalauréat, and via the Apply platform for those completing an international qualification. The selection process includes an english test and a personality assessment, in addition to a review of the application file and a motivation interview.
This dual degree is ideal for students who are undecided between an engineering school and a business school. Over the course of four years, students develop both managerial and technical skills, making them immediately ready to enter a constantly evolving job market. Gaining this dual expertise opens up a wide range of career opportunities in finance, e-commerce, marketing, and technology — all at the heart of digital transformation.
