The EDHEC PhD in Finance Forum returns to London on 19 January 2027 at Goldsmiths' Hall, London, bringing together Xavier Gabaix (Harvard University) and Nick Baltas (Goldman Sachs), alongside PhD graduates, current participants, and faculty.

The morning Forum is followed by the 8th EDHEC PhD in Finance Graduation Ceremony, open to all guests.

Xavier Gabaix

Professor of Economics and Finance,

Harvard University

 

One of the most cited finance academics of his generation, Xavier Gabaix has produced landmark work in behavioural finance, asset pricing, and macroeconomics. His thinking has influenced both academic circles and the way sophisticated practitioners approach markets. At the Forum, he will share his perspective on where financial thinking is headed and what that means for those at the forefront of the field.

No. To encourage open discussion between speakers and participants, the Forum is held exclusively in person. There will be no recordings or livestream.

Yes. Colleagues with an interest in finance, investment or advanced academic work are welcome to attend. Each participant should register individually, as places are limited.

The Forum will be held at Goldsmiths' Hall, London, one of the City's most prestigious venues.  Full directions and practical information will be included in your confirmation email upon registration.
