Bertrand Jayles, PhD is Senior Sustainability Data Scientist at EDHEC Climate Institute and focuses on climate risks and scenario analysis. Before joining EDHEC, Bertrand worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. He then moved to Singapore when he joined Nanyang Technological University as a Research fellow.
He holds a Master’s degree in theoretical physics from Aix-Marseille University and a PhD degree from the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Toulouse, where he specialized in social physics, a field of study at the interface of theoretical physics, behavioural economics, and social psychology. His research interests include collective behaviour, social influence, collective intelligence, social resilience, and complex networks.
