Carlos A. Ramírez joined EDHEC Business School in September 2026 as Associate Professor of Finance. Prior to joining EDHEC, he worked for ten years at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C., where his research and policy work focused on financial markets and financial stability. He holds a PhD in Finance from Carnegie Mellon.
His research explores how relationships shape asset prices, liquidity, and systemic risk. His work lies at the intersection of asset pricing, networks, and financial stability, with applications to short-term funding markets, banking systems, production networks, and cyber risk. His research has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Economics Letters.
