Bio
Natalia Rostova obtained her PhD in Finance from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Swiss Finance Institute in Switzerland in 2025. During her PhD studies, she was a visiting PhD fellow at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In her research, she primarily focuses on studying emerging financial technologies and the applications of blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) in traditional financial markets. Her work has recently been published in Management Science and presented at conferences such as the CEPR Fintech and Digital Currencies Workshop, the SNB-CIF Conference on Cryptoassets and Financial Innovation, the Bonn/Mannheim Workshop on Digital Finance, the Warwick Business School Conference on DeFi & Digital Currencies, among others. At EDHEC, Natalia Rostova teaches FinTech and Research Methodology to Master’s students.
