Bio
Shiko Ben-Menahem is Full Professor of Technology, Innovation, and Strategy at the department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Operations at EDHEC Business School. He earned his doctoral degree in Strategy & Innovation and Master’s degrees in Strategic Management and Business Research Methods from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and later completed his habilitation at ETH Zurich. Before joining EDHEC, he held positions at VU Amsterdam, ETH Zurich, and NYU Stern School of Business and was a Research Director at a Swiss investment firm.
At EDHEC, he teaches Business and Corporate Strategy, and in the Executive MBA, he offers the course Health Care Strategy and New Game Changers in Health 2.0. He also contributes to the Executive MBA programs at ETH Zurich and EPFL.
His research examines the interplay between emerging technologies and organizational structures in knowledge-intensive and multidisciplinary settings, as well as innovation processes across industries such as healthcare, medical devices, and life sciences. His work has been published in leading journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Research Policy, MIT Sloan Management Review, and California Management Review.
Ben-Menahem serves as Associate Editor of Academy of Management Discoveries and has previously been Special Issue Editor for Research Policy and Associate Editor of the European Management Journal. In addition to his academic work, he sits on the boards of several companies in the finance and health-tech sectors.
