FINANCE
BUSINESS PLAN & FORECAST MANAGER AT ELIS-PARIS AREA
I choose to join EDHEC because of its reputation in finance. EDHEC was also the perfect school to have a busy student life. The school has lots of student associations that all have interesting projects. I personally joined ‘Prix de Court’ that has been organising a short film festival for 28 years. I took part in an amazing adventure with an amazing team. I had really good time working on the project. My work allowed me to develop – among other things - interpersonal skills and teamwork skills. This was really appreciated during the various interviews I had.
For the first part of my professional immersion year, I found a 6-month internship at HSBC Global Asset Management as brand manager thanks to the Career Centre. The Centre trained for the interviews and put me in touch with a student who already had a position at HSBC AM.
For the second part of my professional immersion year, I used the EDHEC Alumni Association to get an internship in audit at Ernst & Young in Luxembourg. Thanks to the association, I was able to get much information on the company.
After my second internship, I decided to begin my career in audit. Thus, I choose to follow the MSc in International Accounting & Finance. I particularly appreciated the programme that focused both on audit, management control and accounting and it was exactly what I expected. The courses were taught both by academics and professionals; which gave a good balance between theory and practice.
Plus, the MSc in International Accounting & Finance validates 5 out of 7 the DSCG’s credits; this is a big advantage when applying for a position in audit or in management control.
