EDHEC employees informed of and committed to environmental issues

EDHEC has been offering educational and collaborative workshops to its students with "La Fresque du Climat" since 2019.

"With the success of these workshops and the ecological challenges we face, it seemed obvious to us that we should also involve our employees in this approach," says Emmanuel Métais, Dean of EDHEC Business School.

These workshops, led primarily by EDHEC graduates, were held online for all EDHEC teams.

"The online course has made it possible to strengthen the collective dimension of these workshops and to include our teams on all of our campuses, in France and abroad," Mr Métais adds.

Four consecutive dates were offered to employees based on the Lille, Nice, Paris, London and Singapore campuses. For three hours, the EDHEC teams worked together on the causes and effects of climate change and on ways to act.

The feedback was unanimously positive.

"I found it instructive. Through games, la Fresque du Climat has given us a more advanced level of understanding of climate change and made us aware of how everyone can play their own part in combatting this phenomenon. By achieving as a team, la Fresque du Climat is a clever way of remembering what is important, that we can only make progress when we commit collectively.”

This initiative is fully in line with EDHEC's 2020-2025 strategic plan, a key pillar of which is to serve major societal causes and implement projects related to the climate emergency that have a positive impact on society.
