EDHEC Business School, in partnership with the French Embassy in India, awarded the co-financed scholarship to Chinmay CHOPADE, Assistant Professor in Finance, during the pre-departure session organised at the French Embassy in India (Delhi) by H.E. Mr. Alexandre Ziegler, designated Ambassador of France to India and in the presence of Dr. Bertrand de Hartingh, Cultural Counsellor & Director of the Institut Français in India, with Ms. Sophie Simard, Head of International Admissions at EDHEC. 

Launched in 2015, the EDHEC–French Embassy in India co-financed scholarship is open for application to all Indian students with an excellent academic background and career objectives who have been admitted in any of EDHEC’s Masters of Science programmes.

Chinmay, stood out among other candidates because of his strong academic background, professional potential and leanings towards Finance. In addition to his extensive experience as an Assistant Professor in Finance for past 5 years, Chinmay has been a part of many Academic Training programmes. Owing to his strong academic and professional background, Chinmay was awarded the EDHEC Excellence Scholarship – a pre-requisite in order to be considered for the Co-Financed Scholarship.

EDHEC is very proud to welcome Chinmay to the MSc in Financial Markets programme, which is entirely taught in English and offers students internship opportunities at top international firms and excellent career development with job placement services. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have been admitted in a MSc programme at EDHEC and should have applied for this scholarship before March 31st every year. The final selection is made by the Selection Committee comprising of members form EDHEC Business School and Campus France India. The results are announced on April 15th.

The scholar is entitled to following benefits:

  • full tuition-fee waiver (either €18 000 or €21 500 depending on the MSc programme chosen),
  • the status of French Government scholarship holder which includes visa fee waiver, social security, medical coverage & Access to student housing (CROUS)
