EDHEC Business School welcomes Christian Dior Couture as a new corporate partner of its MSc in Marketing Management
EDHEC Business School partners with Christian Dior Couture to offer MSc in Marketing Management students hands-on experience in luxury retail.
EDHEC Business School is strengthening its connections with the luxury industry through a new partnership with Christian Dior Couture. Integrated into the Luxury & Fashion concentration of the MSc in Marketing Management, this collaboration will give students the opportunity to work on a real business challenge alongside one of the world's most iconic luxury houses, gaining valuable insights into luxury retail strategy and operations.
Bringing luxury industry expertise into the classroom
The partnership with Christian Dior Couture reflects EDHEC's commitment to providing students with practical learning experiences and direct exposure to industry professionals. Through its Luxury & Fashion concentration, the MSc in Marketing Management equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the evolving luxury sector, from marketing strategies to retail operations and customer experience.
"This partnership aligns closely with the MSc in Marketing Management's mission to prepare students for the evolving challenges of the luxury industry," explains Ariel Li, Programme Director of the MSc in Marketing Management at EDHEC Business School. "Collaborating with Dior offers students a unique opportunity to explore real business challenges, particularly how to create seamless omnichannel customer experiences while maintaining the high standards of service and exclusivity that define luxury retail."
A real-world luxury retail project developed with Christian Dior Couture
At the heart of this collaboration is a live business project integrated into the Luxury Sales and Retail Operations course. Designed in close collaboration with Christian Dior Couture's Retail Development Europe team, the project will challenge students to apply their academic knowledge to a genuine business issue facing the luxury sector. The project will kick off in January, with Dior's team introducing the challenge and sharing insights into the House's retail strategy and operations. Students will explore how a leading luxury brand balances operational efficiency, brand consistency and exceptional customer experiences across different retail channels. Working in teams, they will analyse the business challenge and develop practical, strategic recommendations, strengthening their understanding of luxury retail operations and omnichannel strategies.
An opportunity to present recommendations to Dior's retail leaders
One of the highlights of the collaboration will be the opportunity for students to present their work directly to Christian Dior Couture's retail experts.
At the end of the project, ten student teams will be selected to present their recommendations to Dior's Director of Retail Development Europe and other key representatives. This experience will allow students to receive feedback from industry professionals, gain insights into the expectations of a leading luxury house and develop essential skills in business analysis, problem-solving and professional presentations.
"Through this project, students will gain first-hand exposure to the realities of luxury retail, applying what they learn in class to analyse business challenges and develop practical recommendations," highlights Ariel Li.
Preparing students for careers in the luxury and fashion industry
By connecting academic learning with real business challenges, the partnership with Christian Dior Couture further strengthens the industry-oriented approach of EDHEC's MSc in Marketing Management. For students pursuing the Luxury & Fashion concentration, the collaboration offers an opportunity to deepen their understanding of luxury retail, engage with experienced professionals and develop skills relevant to their future careers.
"By bringing real business challenges into the classroom and fostering direct engagement with industry professionals, this partnership reflects EDHEC's commitment to providing students with practical, industry-relevant learning experiences that prepare them for successful careers in the luxury sector," concludes Ariel Li.
Through this new partnership, EDHEC continues to bridge the gap between academic excellence and industry practice, preparing the next generation of marketing professionals to thrive in the global luxury and fashion industry.
