EDHEC Launches New Sustainable Investing Certificate in Partnership with CFA Institute
EDHEC Business School has launched a new Sustainable Investing Certificate in partnership with the CFA Institute to address the growing demand for ESG expertise. This article outlines what the programme offers and how it prepares students for careers in sustainable finance.
EDHEC Business School is expanding its programme offering with the launch of a new Sustainable Investing Certificate, created in collaboration with the CFA Institute. Offered for the first time this academic year, the certificate is designed for students enrolled in the MSc in Accounting & Finance, MSc in International Finance, and MSc in Corporate Finance & Banking who wish to develop the essential skillset required in ESG and sustainable finance.
Taught by seasoned industry expert Arnaud Ibanez— CFA and CAIA charterholder and M&A Group Director at GreenYellow — the certificate blends academic insight with real-world practice in renewable energy, investment analysis and responsible finance.
Through nine in-person sessions and applied business cases, students will develop a robust understanding of ESG principles, climate-related financial risks, sustainable investment strategies and valuation impacts. By the end of the programme, students will be prepared to pass the CFA Sustainable Investing Certificate, a globally recognised qualification funded by EDHEC for the selected cohort.
With access to the CFA Institute’s international professional network, industry events, and lifelong learning resources, students will gain a strong competitive edge when entering careers in asset management, private equity, corporate finance, consulting and beyond.
This new certificate reflects EDHEC’s commitment to supporting the next generation of finance professionals as the sector accelerates its transition towards sustainability and long-term value creation. The Sustainable Investing Certificate will be open to a limited number of students each year.
