What was your undergraduate major before studying at EDHEC?

My undergraduate major is material forming and control engineering, which is affiliated with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

After graduation, I studied for a two-year Master's in International Finance in Seoul, South Korea, and then applied to EDHEC.

Can you briefly talk about why your reasons to join EDHEC and your current master's programme?

EDHEC has a very good reputation in Europe, especially for finance-related programmes. Considering that I want to work in Europe after graduation, I chose to join EDHEC.

Another reason for coming to Nice is that I like the sea very much. The sea view is really amazing. Listening to the sound of the sea is also very healing when you are feeling stressed.

When you applied, did you participate in any online or offline admissions presentations?

I participated in some webinars in which senior students or graduates shared their experiences. It is very useful for me.

How did you hear about the EDHEC China Alumni Scholarship?

I saw this scholarship from an article published by the official WeChat account of EDHEC.

Is the process of applying for this scholarship complicated?

It is not complicated. The basic process is to send an email to tell the admissions manager that you are willing to apply for this scholarship. The manager will send a link to the online interview within a few days, and the results will be communicated to you after the interview. The results will come out within a week, and the manager will update your letter of enrollment.

The system used in the interview is exactly the same as the one used in the application, and the format of the questions is also very similar, Here, I encourage future students to apply without hesitation.

How has this scholarship helped you?*

First, it is very helpful on the financial side. Secondly, the more important thing is that when you get this scholarship, you will become a student ambassador, work with other ambassadors from other countries, and help future students who are applying. Together we contribute to the brand image of EDHEC.

How and what is taught in your master's programme?

Teaching methods include lectures, group projects, and group assignments.  Our professional teaching content includes international accounting, advanced financial accounting, mergers and acquisitions, auditing and internal control, leadership and management, and project management, as well as courses provided by the Career Centre and free French courses.

Did you get to know students from different countries through classroom interaction and other activities?

Yes, in the orientation activities organised by the International Student Office at the beginning of the school year, we were divided into groups and played games together. It was a great opportunity to meet students from other countries.

What is your impression of the Nice campus?

Personally, I like the Nice campus very much. The school is near the sea and next to the airport. When I am in class, I can see the planes taking off and landing. The sound insulation of the classroom is very good, so the class is not affected at all.

Secondly, the school is also very close to the beach, so it is very comfortable to walk along the beach after class.

Do you feel comfortable with living and studying in France?

I am comfortable in France because I had an exchange experience here before, and I am familiar with the local systems such as housing and medical insurance.

What was challenging is the level and intensity of the study. I was having a hard time in the beginning and was always kept busy by the training from the Career Centre. After a month, I fully adapted to my life studying at EDHEC.
