#MyEDHECcommunity – Taking on the #7dayskillchallenge

“Asis and I have been friends ever since we arrived on campus and lived in the same student residence. As the coronavirus news hit EDHEC and the campus was shut indefinitely, a lot of our friends decided to travel back to India to their families, but a handful of us, including me and Asis decided to stay back. EDHEC Business School had decided to give time to students to get back home before it launched the online classes, so we suddenly found ourselves some free time on hand. That's when Asis decided to bank on the social media challenge trend and start the #7dayskillchallenge on LinkedIn. I always wanted to develop my marketing and analytics skills further, but with assignments and other pressing tasks, I kept putting it off. This challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to utilise this free time I had. I chose to focus on Google Analytics and decided to complete both the Google Analytics course on LinkedIn and Google Analytics Academy. I further nominated my EDHEC friends who I know to want to make a career in analytics. This challenge has not only allowed me to efficiently use my time to develop the key skills required for my professional journey but also connect with #myedheccommunity and sail through these difficult times together. Through this challenge, I have been motivated to learn more about analytics, marketing and make a future in the field. Here's hoping the challenge can motivate others too as it has motivated me.”
