EDHEC renews its DD&RS accreditation and is awarded the maximum term of four years
EDHEC Business School has been awarded the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility (DD&RS) accreditation for the second consecutive year. Awarded this year for a period of four years – the maximum duration permitted under the scheme – this recognition confirms the progress made since the school first received the accreditation in 2023 and demonstrates the integration of sustainable development and social responsibility issues at the heart of the school’s strategy.
A national benchmark for sustainable development and social responsibility in higher education, the DD&RS label assesses institutions across five key areas: strategy and governance, teaching, research, the environment and social policy.
Following the audit carried out during the 2025–26 academic year, the assessors highlighted the maturity of EDHEC’s approach. In particular, they commended a sustainability and social responsibility policy that is now fully formalised and championed by the school’s management. The management of action plans implemented across all departments and services, as well as the growing commitment to these issues among staff, lecturers, students, alumni and partners, illustrate the collective momentum built up in recent years.
The auditors also highlighted the integration of sustainable development issues into the school’s core missions. In terms of research, they commended the development of research and initiatives that strengthen the dialogue between science and society and help shed light on major economic, social and environmental challenges.
On the education front, the ‘Transformative Journey’ pillar, at the heart of EDHEC’s strategic plan, was particularly commended. By integrating sustainable development and social responsibility throughout the student journey, it reflects the school’s ambition to produce graduates capable of acting responsibly in a rapidly changing world.
The audit also recognised the measures put in place to support students throughout their studies, notably through an annual satisfaction survey which measures their experience.
