EDHEC offers its PhD in Finance programme from its executive campus in the heart of the City of London and from its exceptional campus in Nice on the French Riviera.

The programme’s residential requirement is limited to around 40 days and can be completed in eight weeks over three years. All courses take place in executive learning rooms in London and Nice. 

The school’s e-learning platform allows participants to view programme information, access course material and play back audio/video recordings of class sessions. 
The electronic library provides PhD students with access to a wide range of resources at any time, all year round.

EXECUTIVE CLASSROOMS

The executive e-learning classrooms

The executive classrooms used for the PhD in Finance programme in London and Nice facilitate multimedia communication and on-demand broadcasts of class sessions. PhD candidates can play back courses, seminars and workshops they have attended and access multimedia recordings of past courses, seminars, workshops and presentations.

E-LEARNING PLATFORM, ELECTRONIC LIBRARY, and RESEARCH DATABASES

 

The school’s e-learning platform allows participants to view programme information and announcements, access course material and play back audio-video recordings of class sessions, synchronised with supporting slides. 

EDHEC’s electronic library offers off-campus, full-text access to numerous scientific journals, business periodicals and a growing collection of e-books shared with the Catholic University of Lille. For journals and periodicals, the school subscribes to EBSCO’s EconLit and Business Source Complete, JSTOR, Emerald, Science Direct and DowJones Factiva. PhD in Finance candidates enjoy access to major research databases in the fields of finance and economics, and ready-to-use research tools through the school’s subscription to Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). Through WRDS, PhD students have access to numerous databases, such as Compustat (S&P), IBES (Refinitiv) and CRSP.  The school also subscribes to S&P Capital IQ Pro, and ESG Data for the students of the Graduate Finance programmes.

TWO CAMPUSES

Campus Nice

EDHEC offers its PhD in Finance programme in Europe, from its London and Nice campuses. A minimum of five elective seminars are offered each year. All programme participants have electronic access to courses, seminars, workshops and presentations held in London and Nice.

EDHEC’s campus in Nice is a modern building with rooftop decks overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, conveniently located next to Nice International Airport, which offers daily flights to and from more than 20 French destinations and some 60 major international cities. The campus is a 20-minute tram ride from the city centre. While in Nice, PhD in Finance candidates benefit from a dedicated executive classroom and on-site facilities, including access to the library, Thompson terminals, a French brasserie and café, a snack bar and a fitness room.

Located at 10 Fleet Place in a state-of-the-art office building, EDHEC’s executive campus is at the very heart of the City of London, less than half an hour from Saint Pancras International station and London City Airport, and just an hour away from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports. It includes a high-tech executive classroom, as well as offices for permanent resident faculty, researchers and visiting professors.
