As part of a broader Executive MBA curriculum refresh and update, EDHEC has launched a new AI specialisation track option from October 2026. The new AI-Augmented Leadership & Performance track equips experienced professionals and decisions makers to enhance productivity, lead responsibly and define actionable AI strategies within their organisations.

Integrating an AI track into the Executive MBA Programme reflects our commitment to equipping our participants with the frameworks and perspective required to navigate the strategic, organisational, and human implications of AI with clarity and responsibility.

A structured response to a fast-moving landscape

The track is structured around three pillars that mirror how AI-driven transformation unfolds in practice.

It begins with individual productivity, extends to leading human-AI collaboration at team level, and culminates in the design and execution of a three-year AI strategy for the organisation.

The first pillar focuses on accelerating productivity and performance.

“We kick off the track by enhancing individual productivity. Here we look at key areas like data visualization, decision intelligence and agent automation,” explains Dr Ghassan Paul Yacoub, Academic Director of the AI-Augmented Leadership and Performance track.

Participants work with practical tools that enhance how they analyse information, structure decisions, and improve efficiency. The emphasis sits on immediate applicability in a leadership context.

Leading in an AI-enabled organisation

The second pillar addresses leadership in environments where AI is embedded into operations.

“And the second layer in this track is basically the team level. How to enhance the human AI interaction, how to responsibly lead, how to deal with ethics, regulation, governance, culture and team related issues,” Dr. Yacoub continues.

This includes responsible AI governance, human-AI collaboration, and the cultural implications of deploying AI at scale. Leadership becomes a matter of alignment, trust, and structure.

From AI strategy to execution

“The final part of the track moves into the application phase.  Here we design and construct together what we call an AI strategic road map. What are you going to do about AI for next 3 years? What use cases? What products or services? What strategy?” says Dr Yacoub.

Participants define a structured roadmap aligned with their organisation’s priorities.

“We can help them design an AI strategy and execution roadmap for the next three years with an applied project presented at the end of the track. This solution-focused approach ensures a tangible outcome for the participant and their organisation or challenge,” he adds.

This applied project ensures that the track delivers tangible outcomes beyond the classroom.

A refreshed Executive MBA curriculum aligned with business realities and participant needs.

In addition to the launch of the new AI-Augmented Leadership & Performance track, the programme has been refreshed to reflect today’s business environment and the evolving needs of experienced professionals. As leadership roles become more complex, the programme equips participants to navigate uncertainty, integrate technological change, and deliver sustainable performance.

The programme is built around four core pillars that together shape a comprehensive and impactful learning experience:

From Strategic Vision to Execution

Develops participants’ ability to master core business disciplines while translating strategy into action and driving organisational performance.

Organised around four strategic disciplines — Shaping Strategy in Turbulent Times, Driving Financial Performance & Value Creation, Strengthening Personal & Organisational Leadership, and Building Cross-Functional Perspectives & Connections — this pillar exposes participants to the full spectrum of business challenges. Key topics include strategic analysis and mindset, geopolitical risk, data-driven decision-making, organisational development and leadership, as well as an intensive two-day AI for Business bootcamp.

Across these four disciplines, participants progressively develop a Consulting Project or Business Plan. Each learning block provides frameworks and tools to refine strategic diagnosis, strengthen stakeholder alignment, test execution choices across functions, and build a robust performance and value-creation case.

Expanding Horizons

Through global learning expeditions and immersion in a diverse, international community, this pillar broadens perspectives, challenges assumptions, and strengthens the ability to lead, innovate, and communicate effectively in a globalised environment.

Transform360

A transversal leadership development journey focused on building the personal and professional capabilities required to influence, mobilise, and lead change with confidence.

Personalisation & Specialisation

Enables participants to tailor their journey to their ambitions, choosing from tracks such as Healthcare Innovation & Technology (HIT), AI-Augmented Leadership & Performance, or a range of electives to deepen expertise in key areas.

Together, these four pillars ensure strong coherence between learning and application. Strategic frameworks are continuously explored, tested in global contexts, and applied through specialised learning and the final consulting project or business plan. Each participant works on a real organisational challenge, ensuring that insights translate into tangible, measurable impact.
