Bio

Loïck Menvielle is a Professor at EDHEC Business School, specializing in digital and health innovation. He is Director of the Management in Innovative Health Chair, Academic Director of the MBA Online, and Head of the Health Innovation Technology track within EDHEC’s Executive MBA programme, ranked among the world’s top 30.

He is the author of numerous scientific articles and contributions to collective academic books addressing major societal challenges in healthcare, with strong ethical and social implications. His research focuses on digital health, artificial intelligence, patient adoption, value-based healthcare, and the governance of emerging technologies. He collaborates actively with international research teams from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), and Columbia University, notably on projects integrating multicultural and comparative perspectives.

His most recent work examines the rise of online patient communities and the adoption and perception of technology (IoT, AI etc.) by patients and their compliance. He has also served as an expert for the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) on issues related to the digitalization of healthcare and sits on the scientific committee of the E-Health World Congress. He is co-editor of the book The Digitalization of Healthcare: New Challenges and Opportunities, bringing together contributions from leading academic and institutional stakeholders, including IBM, the NHS, Ivey University, Mount Sinai, and Columbia University.
