Role

As climate physical and transition risks increasingly impact investors’ portfolios and corporate balance sheets, the need for high-quality climate risk data and assessment tools is rising.
EDHEC Climate Institute is looking for a Production Software Engineer to transform climate risk research into production ready solutions.
Responsibilities

Design API architecture and data pipeline that satisfies the needs of different functions

Productionise code from data scientists
-
Implement robust, scalable, high-performant, and secured solutions

Operate, maintain, and optimize the solutions

Provide code documentation and participate in code reviews

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features that align with business goals.

Application deployment and maintenance on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
-
5+ years of professional coding experience
-
Strong Python proficiency (mandatory), JavaScript experience is a plus
-
Advanced knowledge of REST API frameworks, preferably Python FastAPI
-
Experience with both relational database (MYSQL) and non-relational database (MongoDB)

Experience with CI/CD tools (Airflow, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker)

Proficiency with AWS cloud services including EC2 management

Experience with WordPress would be advantageous

The candidate should be a self-learner

Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred but all candidates with relevant experience will be considered
