Develop is an association whose mission is to promote sustainable development within EDHEC and across the Lille metropolitan area through various initiatives:

  • Sustainability consulting for student organisations: we provide our expertise by offering solutions to make their events more sustainable. As the regional branch for Hauts-de-France of the ECOFEST label, we also conduct audits and award sustainability a certification to both EDHEC and non-EDHEC organisations.
  • Microfinance: thanks to our partner Initiative France, we take part in committees that grant microloans to entrepreneurs who do not have access to traditional bank loans.
  • Promoting the Social and Solidarity Economy: every year, we organize Sustainability Week, an event that brings together alumni, student organisations and associations, committed companies, workshops, and conferences.
  • International solidarity projects: each year, three Develop membres seize the opportunity of an international experience, by travelling to Togo to work with an NGO and carry out social microfinance missions in support of local development.
  • Expanding our scope of action: we have recently joined the Student Network for an Ecological and Solidary Society (RESES), a federation of student organisations, leading projects on key issues such as food, biodiversity, and climate.
