The EDHEC North Race (ENR) association promotes board sports and shares their values. ENR enables over 150 students to spend a week in the Landes region surfing in the traditions of south-west France. It also organises an open-air event for all ages in the Lille Citadelle in the spring, with the aim of enriching community life in the Lille area and raising awareness of the importance of environmental protection. In the short term, the association’s objective is to develop interest in board sports among young people in the Lille area, by introducing the North Shore Rides. Lastly, the EDHEC North Race works with many partners, including the Surfrider Foundation, with which it organises a beach clean-up operation and a green walk to preserve marine flora and fauna.
