L’Agora du Nord is a student forum that organizes debates and conferences once or twice a month with leading figures from the world of politics, business, culture and sports. It has welcomed to campus such renowned figures as Ségolène Royal, Rachida Dati, Nicola Hulot, Jean Dominique Senard, David de Rotschild and Nelson Monfort. Each Agora conference is free, open to the public, lasts 1h30 and adopts the following format. The conference begins with a satirical humor piece about the guest, followed by a micro-trottoir in which we gather the opinions of the people of Lille on the subjects discussed during the conference, then the interview with the guest and finally questions from the audience. The Agora also organizes debates in which two guests present their points of view on a major topical issue.
