"One Italian, one Mexican, one Indian and one American living in France thisis our team. We are four energetic, creative and passionate MBA candidates ready to take on one of the world’s biggest challenges. Each of us deeply care about the world and truly believe we can make it a better place. We are seasoned business professionals who aspire to work in the intersection between business and development. With that motivation, we have founded the Social Business MBA chapter at EDHEC Business School and constantly seek opportunities to apply our business knowledge to meaningful causes. Driven by dedication, discipline and hard work, nothing can defeat our entrepreneurial spirit.
Why do we want take on this challenge? We recently completed a study trip in South Africa which reminded us of the importance of innovation and sustainability. Our collective experience is grounded in the realities of developing countries and past work with social entrepreneurs. We are constantly inspired by the work of social entrepreneurs and this trip was no exception. During our visit we met with entrepreneurs in the township of Khayelitsha and learned about how they are transforming their community with their innovative businesses. We want to apply our business skills to solve key development challenges and improve lives, and believe we have the drive and skills to do so.
Together we form a wellrounded team of professionals capable of sustaining a startup that can change the world. Some of our team members bring a wealth of knowledge in building a business from the ground up running a startup is not easy, but we have firsthand experience in doing so successfully. We are ready to apply the new skills focused in leadership, finance and entrepreneurship we’ve acquired in the EDHEC MBA and also the knowledge we bring from our past experience in various industries including International Development, Investment Banking, Management Consulting and Marketing Management. Our team members have worked in large, medium and small companies. We are a multidisciplinary team with experience in Social Entrepreneurship, Business Development, Housing and Construction, Accounting, Risk Management, Digital Strategy and Creative Writing.
