EDHEC Cycle Supérieur de Management
The organisers were seeking above all to immerse the students in a different universe, to allow them to get out of the places where they feel comfortable and to create an environment propitious to the development of the new class’s esprit de corps.
It worked: brought together on the Salon-de-Provence air base, the roughly thirty participants, at first surprised, quickly got into the spirit of things, donning their khaki ‘uniforms’ and following, as it were, their drill sergeants’ instructions.
Rodolphe Leporcher, a new arrival at the EDHEC Management Development Programme and manager at the Caisse d’Épargne Côte d’Azur, recounts his impressions:
‘This seminar, which took place in a surprising setting, the 701 military base in Salon-de-Provence, was professionally and personally rewarding for all of us. The team-building workshops enabled us to get to know each other very quickly by having us go through intense moments we won’t soon forget. Even if, physically, it was sometimes very slightly hard, we managed to break from our daily routines, having one and only one thing in mind: reaching the goal together.
‘Spending four days in such close proximity was a superb way of getting to know each other and creating class spirit. It’s an experience to relive again and again.’
