EDHEC Business School becomes the first academic member of Inquire Europe
Inquire Europe - the short version of "The Institute for Quantitative Research in Europe" - welcomes EDHEC Business School as a member since 1 January 2023, a first for an educational and research institution.
Founded in Berlin in 1990, Inquire Europe brings together a diversity of private European players - in a selective manner - from the finance sector in order to "improve investment decisions by drawing on existing academic knowledge". The network's activity is based on three main components: the funding (and promotion) of research work via calls for projects, the organisation of two international seminars per year and the regular awarding of prizes during these seminars.
Emmanuel Jurczenko, Director of Graduate Programs in Finance at EDHEC, is in charge of this partnership with Inquire Europe. The participation of EDHEC's PhD in Finance in this important European network of professionals federating the main asset managers and institutional investors seemed obvious; and some Inquire Europe members could be natural candidates for our PhD in Finance. For those involved in this programme, this partnership gives access to excellent quantitative finance research, notably through the two annual research seminars, and it gives easier contact with the main actors and users of finance research in Europe. One modality is already proving to be very interesting for the participants of the PhD programme as a place is made available to attend each seminar, the next one being from 26 to 28 March in Malta. It is dedicated to two major themes: inflation and climate finance.
