EDHEC Business School is proud to announce that its Macroeconomics for Managers online course was awarded the FOME 2021 Learning Design Innovation bronze prize. These annual awards are designed to highlight creative and meaningful teaching initiatives.
The prize was awarded by the online learning platform Insendi and the Future of Management Education (FOME) Alliance, the partnership comprising several international business schools and co-founded by EDHEC. The members of the FOME Alliance share their resources, knowledge and expertise in order to foster the development of new teaching initiatives and launch programmes of international standing.
The 2021 bronze prize is reward for the new learning approaches – notably in terms of diversification of formats – developed by Tristan-Pierre Maury, Academic Director of EDHEC Business School’s MSc Online in Data Management & Business Analytics, and Joanna Szuda, Head of Digital Learning Production:
“Joanna Szuda steered me towards the challenge of finding an innovative way of presenting my class on macro-economic policies. The result was the creation of storyboards developed in conjunction with our learning designers as a means to tackle theoretical concepts in a more narrative manner, particularly by using scenarios inspired by real life”, underlines Tristan-Pierre Maury. The prize confirms the academic and technological excellence of the learning experience delivered by EDHEC Online, the team responsible for EDHEC’s range of distance learning degree and certificate programmes.
