Organized by the student association Raid EDHEC, the 25th Raid will take place in the hills behind Nice from 30 May to 3rd June 2018. 120 registered participants divided into 40 teams of 3 will cover 200km for 8000m of difference in altitude by MTB and Trail. An additional event will take place each day: Via Ferrata, Biathlon, Canyoning, Canoe-Raft or Orienteering Race for example.
Patrons of the 25th anniversary of the Raid will be Sylvaine Cussot, a French key person in this discipline with 5 participations at the Ecotrail in Paris, 6 silver medals at the Gruissan Phoebus Trail, silver medallist at the Saintélyon 2016, and sprinter Christophe Lemaître, double Olympic medallist in 2012 and 2016 and the current holder of the French record of 200m and the European record of the 4x200m relay.
For the second time in a row, the EDHEC Raid will be a qualifying round of the French Challenge of Multisport Raid (equivalent to a French championship), consisting of 11 official rounds that vary each year, all selected by the French Triathlon Federation. The 50 student members of the Raid EDHEC association will coordinate this exceptional event which represents an enormous organizational effort. 2 teams composed of EDHEC students will also be in the starting blocks on Wednesday 30 May.
Throughout the race, competitors will discover exceptional landscapes, express their passion for sport and competition and share unforgettable sensations before arriving on the hills of the Nice Château on Sunday 3 June 2018.
