The Chair's research focuses on two complementary areas :


Global monitoring of criminal risks

The Chair's researchers constantly monitor the global news about criminal and terrorist risks, using specific tools and processes:

9000 referenced data sources (specialized data networks, local newspapers, business corespondence, radios and local TV channels, specialized blogs and websites, general interest websites, databases, press agencies).

2000 related facts detected and analyzed each month

500 analysis drafted each month.

This monitoring activity provides continual and reliable information in two areas:

- Criminal and terrorist players Daily monitoring of mafia activity and other transnational criminal organisations, regional and local criminal gangs, guerrillas and terrorist organizations.

- Criminal and terrorist activities Daily monitoring of information related to criminal and terrorist activities of interest to business organisations: terrorist attacks, kidnapping, piracy, extortion, money laundering, counterfeiting, smuggling, fraud, bid rigging, etc

Field studies

This comprehensive data collection on criminal and terrorist risks is collated with in-depth and multiannual field studies of cases of companies faced with criminal and terrorist risks in various parts of the world:

Various field studies are or have been conducted in the following countries: Colombia, the United States, Canada, Algeria, Morocco, Chad, Cameroun, Nigeria (Niger delta), Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, China, Saudi Arabia, Madagascar, France, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia.

  • Academic Programmes
    Grande Ecole, MSc, Espeme, MBA: the Chair faculty teach over 800 students a year from all the EDHEC programmes.
  • Executive Education
    Members of the Chair faculty teach in Edhec's Executive MBA programme as well as in various in-company training programmes.
