EDHEC Business School announced the creation of its Centre for Responsible Entrepreneurship during an event on the Paris campus on Wednesday 11 May 2022 attended by numerous players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem (start-up founders, entrepreneurship and innovation researchers, representatives of Station F and funds, members of family businesses). The occasion also featured a round table focused on new models of responsible entrepreneurship and held in the presence of prestigious contributors including Thomas Arnaudo (EDHEC 2013), co-founder of 900.Care, Nicolas Bonillo (EDHEC 2012), Investment Director at Raise Impact, Olga Kokshagina, Professeur of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at EDHEC, entrepreneur and member of France’s national digital council, and Justine Soudier, Director of EDHEC Entrepreneurs.

The new centre brings together all EDHEC’s entrepreneurship-related activities: the EDHEC Entrepreneurs incubator, all entrepreneurship initiatives and related courses on our teaching programmes, as well as entrepreneurship-themed research projects, particularly the Family Business Chair directed by Rania Labaki. The goal is to make EDHEC a go-to institution in the field of responsible entrepreneurship, as explained by Ludovic Cailluet, Associate Dean for Entrepreneurship: “Entrepreneurship is part of EDHEC’s identity as a School that aims to make business serve the major causes of the day. The centre’s inauguration means we will be present at the earliest stage of the company start-up process, so as to train tomorrow’s entrepreneurs in the question of responsibility and in a transversal manner, i.e. encourage new managerial practices, foster inclusion and diversity in recruitment and find new solutions for reducing carbon emissions. In other words, a way for these future entrepreneurs to create value through business, both for society and the economy.
