From September 2019, EDHEC will offer a two-year double Master of Science (MSc) and Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree programme, aimed at preparing students for senior management and leadership roles that require expertise in a specific business discipline.

EDHEC’s MSc programmes are designed to equip students with the knowledge and core competencies they need for their chosen fields of business, while the added MBA degree aims to strengthen their general management skills, connect them with the global business community and hone their communication and personal skills for top management positions.

“This joint MSc MBA programme answers the market need for business leaders with global experience and deep insight into specific industry domains,” say Associate Dean of Graduate Studies Michelle Sisto and Global MBA Programme Director Sandra Richez. “We are proud to create with this programme a platform and process that educates the brightest minds interested in business leadership and management.”

As a leader in educational innovation, EDHEC draw on the latest teaching technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to complement its classroom-based teaching. Using this blended learning approach and in step with market trends, the double-degree programme will give students the tools they need to compete in a complex and competitive business environment. They will learn to deepen their analytical thinking, develop practical skills, and design creative strategies for business success.

The first academic year of the new programme will see students studying for one of EDHEC’s specialised MSc courses, either an MSc in Business Management or MSc in Financial Economics, followed by a 3-6 month internship. Non-French students will also take foreign-language classes.

The second year will be dedicated to the MBA course and students will specialise in one of four areas: digital innovation, finance, leadership or entrepreneurship. The global dimension of the course involves learning expeditions to South Africa, and a choice of San Francisco, Singapore, London or Paris, as well as applied learning opportunities, from internships to consulting and research projects.

By the end of the programme, students will be able to understand and apply the latest managerial concepts and models, evaluate complex business situations, and decide appropriate actions. They will be conceptual and innovative in their approach to problem-solving and adept at supervising business development processes. Importantly, they will master the critical thinking tools that will enable them to create successful, innovative strategies for the digital age.
