How the summer programme helped me land my internship!
Discover Tiffany Yang, a participant of The Business of Luxury Summer programme who managed to get her internship at GlobeAir via this 2-week programme.
Q1. Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Tiffany. I am French, originally from China, and I have just graduated from King’s College London with a BSc in Economics and Management.
Q2. Why did you choose the Business of Luxury Summer Programme and what did you gain from it?
Growing up in the United Arab Emirates nurtured my interest in the luxury industry, so it felt natural to study it at a renowned school, strategically located in an iconic location famed for embracing luxury. We often think of Paris as the home of high-end craftsmanship, but we forget how influential and pivotal the French Riviera has been across the luxury sector, from retail, yachting and fragrance to ultra-hospitality, automobiles and private jets, and so much more. During the programme, I not only discovered the diversity and beauty of the luxury industry, but forged life-long relationships and connections.
Q3. How did this programme help you get your internship?
We got to interact with seasoned professionals, who shared their experience and passion for their sectors, and had meaningful conversations with guest speakers, who generously shared contacts for future professional opportunities at their firms. Thanks to the Summer Programme, I’m now about to embark on a dream internship!
Q4. Describe what you will be doing during your internship and how you plan to apply what you learned on the summer programme.
I am excited to be joining GlobeAir as a marketing and partnerships intern, where I will work with the team to strengthen the global partners network. To be successful in the luxury aviation field, where clients are at the heart of the operation, one needs a thorough understanding of the luxury sector and consumer expectations. The two-week Summer Programme at EDHEC Nice is incredibly efficient at providing students with knowledge beyond luxury fashion and educating them on overlooked sectors, such as a wines and spirits, luxury hospitality and high-end transportation.
