During the EDHEC Global MBA programme, participants have the opportunity to join extra-curricular clubs focusing on Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Consultancy. These clubs, organised and run by Global MBA participants, offer increased opportunities for networking, and allow for more in depth and hands-on learning. They meet weekly at the EDHEC Nice campus and are all well attended by the rest of the class.

The Entrepreneur Club has been very active. This club is dedicated to EDHEC Global MBA participants and alumni who hope to have a business in the future or wish to know more about the topic. “We provide the participants with a chance to network with entrepreneurs as well as attend presentations from experienced professionals. In addition, we facilitate discussions among the participants,” explained Thabata Dias, co-president of the Entrepreneur Club. “Our mission is to share concepts, ideas and knowledge about the reality of entrepreneurship in France and abroad.” Indeed, the Club invites key people from the region to speak and share their experiences. Most recently, the Club welcomed Vincent Garnier who is in charge of Business Development for local start-ups at CEEI NCA - Métropole Nice/ Côte d'Azur. The Entrepreneur Club continues to have high attendance and is planning more high-profile presentations in the near future.

The Marketing Club consists of those participants who are interested in developing their Marketing and Advertising skills. The Club meets once a week and studies successful marketing campaigns by businesses of all sorts. In addition, it experiments with ideas and strategies. Most recently, the Marketing Club organised a competition to develop its new logo, engaging the entire MBA cohort. It ensures its presence is known and is voted as being the most fun club.

The Consulting Club has the best attendance. Participants of the Club meet weekly and learn different consulting strategies within different sectors of business. Focusing primarily on case studies, the participants typically work in pairs and engage in mock interviews in order to practice different strategies at tackling various cases. Participants then provide feedback to each other. Landing a job in consulting is quite competitive so the Consulting Club has proven to be very effective for MBA participants in developing skills that will help them in their efforts.

Many are members of several clubs. These clubs provide invaluable hands-on practice and exposure to the Global MBA participants and have allowed them to develop their interests and broaden their skills.
