Two new core faculty members for the EDHEC PhD in Finance programme
We are delighted to announce that this summer, two specialists in Corporate Finance, Hamid Boustanifar and Gianpaolo Parise, have joined EDHEC as Associate Professor of Finance, strengthening the PhD in Finance programme core faculty.
Before joining EDHEC, Hamid Boustanifar was an Associate Professor of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School. He obtained his PhD in Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics. His main research interests are in corporate finance, corporate governance, financial intermediation, finance and labor, and household finance. His research has been awarded grants from numerous sources including Norwegian Research Council, Center for Corporate Governance Research, and Bankforskningsinstitutet. His works have been frequently presented at prestigious conferences in the fields of economics, finance, and management, such as American Economic Association, American Finance Association, Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society conferences. Articles based on his research have been published in leading academic journals such as the Review of Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and Journal of Banking and Finance.
In his prior position, Gianpaolo Parise was an Economist at the Bank For International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland. He received a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute at the University of Lugano. He was a research scholar at Harvard University. His main research interests are in the areas of Empirical Corporate Finance, Institutional Investors, and Household Finance. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics and has been widely covered by news outlets such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Times.
Hamid Boustanifar and Gianpaolo Parise will serve as advisors for the PhD candidates of the programme.
