A Global Journey Begins: Global MiM – GETT Students Embark on Their First Chapter in Paris
A new class of Global MiM – GETT students has arrived at EDHEC’s Paris campus, marking the start of an exciting international experience. This first chapter combines top-tier academics, cultural immersion, and global career exploration.
At EDHEC’s Paris campus, a new cohort of the Global Master in Management – Global Economic Transformation & Technology (GETT) students has begun an exciting journey spanning three countries and three prestigious partner institutions. For Juliette Gainnet, Yung-Lu Tsai, Mirko Aufiero, Saee Kurhade, and Johannes Burg, this first semester marks the beginning of an international adventure that blends academic excellence, professional exploration, and personal growth.
Finding the Right Fit
Juliette, a French student with a BBA background from the UK, was drawn to the international scope of the Global MiM – Europe pathway. “I wanted a programme that would allow me to study and live in different countries,” she explains. “I chose my pathway based on the destinations and partner institutions – they were a perfect match.”
For Yung-Lu from Taiwan, who also selected the Europe pathway, studying in France had long been a dream. “I really wanted to come to Paris – having a campus in the city centre was very important to me,” he says. “The Global MiM – GETT programme is unique: it allows us to immerse ourselves in diverse environments and study at prestigious partner schools.”
A Campus in the Heart of Paris
Several students highlighted how much they enjoy being based in central Paris, surrounded by the city’s vibrant culture and energy. Mirko, from Italy, who is following the USA/Asia pathway, appreciates both the location and the sense of connection. “We’ve already met alumni from previous cohorts who work here and were happy to share their experiences,” he says. “I love visiting museums, learning French, and discovering new perspectives.”
Mirko also values the flexibility of the Global MiM – GETT. “It’s one of the most international programmes I found. The professional immersion year will give me the opportunity to try out different internships before deciding on my next steps. And the professors really create an exceptional learning environment.”
New Experiences, New Values
For Saee, from India, who also chose the USA/Asia pathway, the experience is deeply personal. “This is my first time studying abroad, and it’s been wonderful so far,” she shares. “The Paris campus is small, but the programme organises many activities to ensure everyone feels involved.” She was looking for a Master in Management that would blend academic learning with a rich student life, and France – renowned for the quality of its MiM programmes – was a natural choice. “The professional immersion year will help me explore and choose my future electives. I also love that we work both in teams and individually – it’s a great balance.”
Johannes, from Germany and also part of the USA/Asia pathway, adds that the programme’s strong value and global reach were decisive factors. “It’s rare to study in three countries with such academic quality and international exposure.”
A Community that Cares
One aspect all students emphasise is the strong sense of support they’ve found at EDHEC. Whether it’s academic advice or personal guidance, Programme Director Sébastien Dieuaide and Programme Coordinator Timéo Pan make a real effort to get to know each student and provide tailored, one-to-one support.
Johannes reflects this sentiment, noting, “The EDHEC team – from admissions to programme staff – has been remarkably responsive and supportive throughout the process.”
As they prepare to continue their journey abroad next semester, the group is united by curiosity, ambition, and a shared excitement for what lies ahead.
