EDHEC Global MBA Specialisation Tracks

As a core element of the EDHEC Global MBA programme, participants choose between three Specialisation tracks, each supported by academic expertise, industry exposure and a dedicated international learning expedition. The structure allows participants to discover, test and refine their focus throughout the programme, rather than deciding months in advance.

The three specialisation tracks allow participants to build meaningful expertise in finance, entrepreneurship or digital innovation. These tracks are not final destinations; instead, they act as structured accelerators within the ten-month programme, helping each participant clarify intentions, strengthen capability and step into their next role with a clearer sense of direction.

International Finance Track

The International Finance track builds advanced capability across the major segments of global finance. EDHEC’s finance expertise, supported by a long-established research ecosystem, strengthens the track’s relevance. Participants develop insights into corporate finance, private equity and climate finance, engaging with both sector-wide perspectives and firm-level dynamics. The emphasis sits firmly on applied understanding. Faculty adopt a highly practical approach using case-based learning, industry scenarios and analytical deep dives, enabling participants to explore how financial decisions play out in diverse contexts.

The global financial landscape increasingly demands familiarity with sustainable finance. EDHEC’s position at the forefront of climate finance research allows participants to link investment strategy, risk assessment and broader ESG developments with clarity. Employers seek graduates who understand how financial systems respond to changing regulatory, environmental and societal expectations. This track aligns closely with those demands and supports transitions into corporate finance, investment roles, consulting, asset management and financial innovation.

Entrepreneurship Track

The Entrepreneurship track reflects a global shift in how innovation emerges. Entrepreneurship has become a critical engine for new ideas, market transformation and agile business building. EDHEC’s history, rooted in entrepreneurial initiative, continues to shape this track, supported by the school’s dedicated Responsible Entrepreneurship Centre.

Participants explore the creation, testing and launch of new concepts through courses such as Innovating New Products & Services, Building a Scalable Business, Financing New Ventures and Marketing New Ventures. The learning environment emphasises experimentation, structured iteration and practical development. The track is designed not only for future founders but also for those aiming to work in venture capital, innovation consulting or intrapreneurial roles within established organisations.

A dedicated pitch session closes the track. Participants present their venture concepts to real investors and business angels in conditions that mirror professional practice. This interaction strengthens feedback loops between project work and the expectations of early-stage investment communities.

Digital Innovation & AI Track

The Digital Innovation & AI track addresses one of the central forces shaping contemporary business. Digital transformation affects every sector and every organisational function, and AI has become a defining feature of modern strategy. EDHEC has redesigned the entire core curriculum to ensure AI literacy is fully embedded, regardless of track. Participants develop the ability to analyse how intelligent systems influence processes, decision-making and long-term strategic direction.

The track is designed with a student-centric approach, accommodating varying levels of technical proficiency to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, can engage meaningfully with AI.

And unlike other tracks that are more sector-specific, this track provides a cross-functional skill set applicable to virtually any industry. "Regardless of the career path you choose, AI is going to impact your work," Professor Sisto observes.
