Seventeen new professors in 2026–2027: EDHEC continues to strengthen its academic ambition
Every new academic year at EDHEC reflects a clear strategic choice: to invest significantly in the recruitment of faculty. This year, once again, the school is taking a further step in the implementation of its ‘Generations 2050’ plan, welcoming 17 new professors to its community. They join a faculty united by a shared commitment to high standards, responsibility, ethics and an international outlook.
New profiles tackling major contemporary challenges
The seventeen new professors - seven women and ten men - were recruited through a selection process spanning Europe, Asia and North America. Representing 14 different nationalities, they all hold a doctorate or PhD from leading academic institutions.
This latest wave of recruitment brings the total number of professors and researchers to 190, who bring EDHEC’s mission to life for 10,000 students of 110 nationalities across its five international campuses (Lille, Nice, Paris, London and Singapore). They are joining a community committed to the values of independence, ethics and academic excellence, and are part of a rigorous, multidisciplinary pedagogical approach designed to foster the transfer of responsible knowledge and prepare students for the major challenges of our time. The new faculty members will also be able to take part in the activities of one of the school’s sixteen institutes, centres and chairs.
This recruitment and integration process, led by Michael Antioco, Dean of Faculty and Research, involves the close collaboration of EDHEC’s five heads of academic departments, as well as numerous professors: “Having recruited seventy new staff members in just five academic years, we are maintaining our ambitious trajectory thanks to the commitment of our entire community. This spring, we received hundreds of applications and conducted dozens of interviews: I would like to extend my warmest thanks to everyone involved, and I am genuinely delighted to welcome these new professors! ”
Their areas of research, aligned with the institution’s priority areas, shed light on the major transformations facing businesses and society: new forms of work and leadership, innovation and organisational transformation, environmental and societal transitions, finance and sustainable value creation.
Attracting and retaining a faculty of the highest European standards - EDHEC has been ranked, for the 5th consecutive year, amongst the top 10 European business schools by the Financial Times - requires a dedicated and stable budget. As an independent, not-for-profit institution with EESPIG status, the school allocates 20 per cent of its total resources to research each year. This financial commitment is accompanied by an equally distinctive policy: that of an entrepreneurial spirit which drives its ecosystem – particularly in the fields of climate and finance – to create its own scientific start-ups, the revenues from which are reinvested in full for the benefit of its students.
