EDHEC Business School Welcomes 16 New Professors for 2025-2026

EDHEC Business School is pleased to announce the appointment of 16 new Professors for the 2025-2026 academic year. This expansion is a key milestone in the school’s "Generations 2050" strategic plan, reinforcing its dedication to cutting-edge research, academic excellence, and global impact.

The new faculty members — 7 women and 9 men — bring a wealth of expertise from 12 countries, enriching EDHEC’s academic community with their backgrounds in fintech, climate economics, artificial intelligence, geopolitics, law and organisational innovation, to name a few.

They now join a dynamic academic and scientific community of more than 200 members, bound by a shared dedication to independence, ethical integrity, diversity, and the pursuit of excellence—delivering impactful research and transformative education. With this new intake, EDHEC has recruited over 60 professors in recent years, strengthening its mission, in particular, to serve 9,600 students and participants worldwide through a diverse range of programmes.

EDHEC’s focus on responsible innovation is reflected in its research: two-fifths of academic publications and two-thirds of the school’s own research now address sustainability, ethics, and societal transformation. With an annual research budget representing 20% of its total resources, EDHEC supports groundbreaking work across its five teaching & research departments and fourteen chairs and institutes, solidifying its position as one of Europe’s top 10 business schools.

The school also champions entrepreneurial innovation, creating applied science startups—such as the recently launched Scientific Climate Ratings (an EDHEC Venture)—whose revenues are fully reinvested in the EDHEC ecosystem, directly benefiting students.

Ricardo Azambuja (Brazil) – Associate Professor

Ricardo Azambuja’s research revolves around topics such as individuals’ everyday interaction, agency and experience in organizations of various sectors (ex. agriculture, arts, auditing) and cultures (ex. Brazil, France, Japan and USA). He holds a PhD in Management from ESSEC Business School. Prior to joining EDHEC, he was affiliated with RSB (France) and Fundação Dom Cabral (Brazil), and had visiting appointments at Cardiff Business School (UK) and Hitotsubashi University (Japan). His work has been published in FT-listed journals and presented in relevant newspapers. At EDHEC, he teaches Organizational Behavior and Research Methods. Prior to joining academia, he worked for a decade as a management professional in the auditing, consulting and oil & gas sectors.

Shiko Ben-Menahem (Netherlands) - Professor

Shiko Ben-Menahem earned his doctoral degree in Strategy & Innovation and two Master’s degrees from Rotterdam School of Management, and later completed his habilitation at ETH Zurich. Before joining EDHEC, he held positions at VU Amsterdam and NYU Stern School of Business and was a Research Director at a Swiss investment firm. At EDHEC, he teaches Business and Corporate Strategy, and intervenes in the Executive MBA (on Health). He also contributes to the Executive MBA programs at ETH Zurich and EPFL. His research examines the interplay between emerging technologies and organizational structures in knowledge-intensive and multidisciplinary settings, as well as innovation processes across industries (healthcare, medical devices, life sciences…). His work has been published in leading journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Nature Biomedical Engineering and Research Policy.

Arnaud Billion (France) – Associate Professor

Arnaud Billion holds a PhD in Information Technology Law from the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Prior to joining EDHEC, he was working as a research scientist at IBM and in several international research projects. He has also contributed in the IBM Academy of Technology and the Object Management Group. In parallel, he acted as a Senior Lecturer at EM Lyon Business School. His teaching and research interests encompass IP law, IT law and ethics, Legal Computing, Legal Philosophy and Epistemology. His research has been published in several Business, Legal and Technology journals and books. Is the co-founder of Technoréalisme.

Eunice Yaa Cudjoe (Ghana) – Assistant Professor

Eunice Yaa Cudjoe is about to defend her PhD thesis at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Before joining EDHEC, she taught accounting as an Affiliate faculty at IESEG School of Management and Université JML 3. She also has rich corporate experience spanning financial audit and compliance. Her research focuses on financial auditing, reporting quality, financial markets, international financial reporting standards, and financial accounting. She has published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy and the Journal of Accounting Literature, among others. At EDHEC, Eunice Yaa Cudjoe teaches courses in Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, and Cost Accounting.

Kristen du Bois (Belgium) – Assistant Professor

At EDHEC, Kristen du Bois teaches courses on managing human capital. Her research, informed by a practical background in HR, explores how workplace policies shape employee well-being and retention. She earned her PhD in Business Economics and Psychology from Ghent University, collaborating with organizations such as IKEA and using innovative vignette experiments to study workplace dynamics. Her work has appeared in academic journals including Human Resource Management and BMC Public Health. During her PhD, she was a visiting scholar at IESE Business School and co-authored a bestselling book on careers, reflecting her commitment to making academic insights accessible to practitioners and the public.

Majid Eskandarpour (France, Iran) - Professor

Majid Eskandarpour holds a PhD in Operations Research from IMT Atlantique. His research focuses on sustainable supply chain management, logistics and transportation, production planning, healthcare, urban logistics, and offshore applications, applying advanced optimization methods such as integer and linear programming, decomposition, simulation optimization, and metaheuristics. His work has appeared in leading journals including the European Journal of Operational Research, the International Journal of Production Economics, the International Journal of Production Research, and Omega. Before joining EDHEC, he was Assistant and then Associate Professor at IÉSEG School of Management and a Research Fellow at the University of Portsmouth, following several years of industrial experience in production planning, project control, and industrial coordination.

Valeria Fanghella (Italy) – Assistant Professor

Valeria Fanghella holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Trento. Before joining EDHEC, she was affiliated with Grenoble Ecole de Management. She is an applied microeconomist, focusing on household decision-making in the areas of energy and environmental economics. Her research relies on experimental and econometric methods for causal inference and policy evaluation. At EDHEC, Valeria Fanghella teaches Quantitative Methods for Business. Her work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, European Economic Review, Resource and Energy Economics, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Environmental and Resource Economics.

Jeremy Fannin (United States of America) – Assistant Professor

Prior to joining EDHEC – where he teaches Digital Marketing and Storytelling – Jeremy Fannin completed his PhD at the University of Lausanne. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Malone University in the US and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam. Jeremy Fannin’s research focuses on the impact of realistic disinformation (i.e., deepfakes) on consumer attitudes and behaviors. He also explores the effectiveness of social media regulations and policies such as the European Union’s AI Act at combatting and mitigating the risk of exposure to such realistic content. His work has been featured in the Advances of Consumer Research and presented at Theory and Practice of Marketing and ACR.

Aurélien Feix (Austria, France) – Associate Professor

Aurélien Feix holds a Ph.D. from the University of Lausanne. His research primarily focuses on the political dimension of companies’ and their stakeholders’ discourses and actions. He is particularly interested in how companies attempt to influence public opinion and decision-making processes, and the consequences these practices have on democracy.  Aurélien Feix also studies social movements that oppose growing marketization. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Business & Society.

Theresa Harrer (Austria) – Assistant Professor

Prior to joining EDHEC, Theresa Harrer was a postdoctoral researcher at the Hanken School of Economics, and a research fellow at the CUSP (Surrey Univ.). In her research, she studies the organisational and societal effects of accounting, focusing specifically on how organisations interact with external stakeholders such as nature, and how accounting regimes, practices, and devices shape these interactions. She holds a PhD in management from Middlesex University London and a MA (hons) in accounting and finance. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research, and was nominated for the prestigious Carolyn Dexter Award of the Academy of Management. Theresa also is a recognised expert in the EU’s GreenAssist program, a member of the EFRAG community, and an advisor to a sustainability reporting consultancy in Finland.

Rowan Hoogervorst (Netherlands) – Assistant Professor

Rowan Hoogervorst holds a PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Before joining EDHEC, he was a postdoc at the Technical University of Denmark. In his research, he focuses on the development of advanced decision-making methods for supporting decision makers in the fields of transportation and health care. A particular focus in his work has been on how to make public transportation systems more efficient and as attractive as possible to passengers. His work has appeared in leading academic journals in the field, such as Transportation Science, Computers & Operations Research, and Information Sciences. At EDHEC, Rowan Hoogervorst is teaching Operations Management as well as courses in Data Science and Programming.

Fatma Jeema (France, Tunisia) – Associate Professor

Fatma Jemaa holds a PhD in Management Science from Paris Dauphine University. She was a Post Doc at the ESSEC Business School of Paris and a visiting research scholar at the London School of Economics, Northwestern University, and WU Vienna. Before joining EDHEC, Fatma was Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School. Fatma Jeema previously worked on enterprise risk management and joint audit. Her research has been published in leading academic journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society and the European Accounting Review. Her current research deals with the governance of Green Transition and the ways in which digitization (e.g. digital platforms, blockchain technology, etc.) changes control mechanisms. Thibaut Joltreau (France) – Assistant Professor

Thibaut Joltreau holds a PhD in political science from Sciences Po Bordeaux. Prior to joining EDHEC, he was a postdoctoral researcher on the Horizon Europe project TWIN SEEDS, investigating how circular economy policies are reshaping global value chains and business models.  Originally rooted in policy analysis, his research engages in an interdisciplinary dialogue with the fields of international political economy, international business, and economic geography. Empirically, he explores the relationship between industrial policies, business models, and the evolving geography of production. His recent work has been published in Regulation & Governance (2025) and the Journal of Environmental Policy & Planning (2024); and won the best paper award of the ‘Global Value Chain track’ at EIBA 2024. At EDHEC, Thibaut will be teaching Geopolitics with a focus on contemporary international business issues.

Theresa Reinold (Germany) – Assistant Professor

Theresa Reinold holds a PhD in Social Sciences from Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen. As a doctoral student (and later postdoctoral scholar), Theresa spent various years in the United States, where she held the Max Kade Fellowship at Yale University’s MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, the Hauser Global Research Fellowship at NYU’s School of Law, and the CES Visiting Scholar Fellowship at Harvard University’s Center for European Studies. Prior to joining EDHEC, she was Junior professor of Global and Transnational Cooperation Research (Duisburg-Essen Univ.) and taught at HEC Paris and IPAG Nice. Her research lies at the intersection of geopolitics and international law, focusing in particular on different forms of governance. Her publications have appeared in leading academic journals, including the American Journal of International Law, the Review of International Studies, the International Journal of Constitutional Law, the International Journal of Law in Context, Third World Quarterly, and Ethics & International Affairs.

Natalia Rostova (Russia) – Assistant Professor

Natalia Rostova obtained her PhD in Finance from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the Swiss Finance Institute. During her PhD studies, she was a visiting PhD fellow at the Bank for International Settlements and the London School of Economics and Political Science. In her research, she primarily focuses on studying emerging financial technologies and the applications of blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) in traditional financial markets. Her work has recently been published in Management Science and presented at conferences such as the CEPR Fintech and Digital Currencies Workshop, the SNB-CIF Conference on Cryptoassets and Financial Innovation, the Bonn/Mannheim Workshop on Digital Finance, the Warwick Business School Conference on DeFi & Digital Currencies, among others. Riccardo Valboni (Italy) – Associate Professor

Riccardo Valboni holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Before joining EDHEC, he was an Assistant Professor at Utrecht University School of Economics and held research and teaching positions at Rotterdam School of Management and Bocconi University. His research primarily focuses on the strategic decisions of multinational corporations, examining the performance drivers of cross-border acquisitions and tax-motivated headquarters relocations. He also studies the role of cultural familiarity in international business. He has won multiple Best Paper Awards at the European International Business Academy (EIBA) Conference and has been nominated for an AIB Best Paper Award. His work has been published in the Journal of Management Studies.
