It asks the following questions:

  • What are the new aspirations of the younger generations?
  • What meaning do young employees give to their commitment?
  • What do they expect from the company today in terms of their jobs and beyond?
  • How do companies understand the new generations and ensure their commitment?

To answer these questions, Quentin Genissel, EDHEC alumnus 2017 and educational manager at Philonomist, talks to Manuelle Malot, Director of Alumni Careers and NewGen Talent Centre at EDHEC, and Olivier Parent du Châtelet, partner at BearingPoint, a consultancy firm.

While Quentin considers his role as a 'representative' of the generations that have recently entered the labour market, Manuelle and Olivier deliver a comprehensive and well-documented reading on the subject, based in particular on the study conducted jointly by the EDHEC New Gen Talent Centre and BearingPoint.

In this podcast, you'll find out how the younger generations define engagement and how companies are getting to grips with the subject. Finally, you will discover how a company's raison d'être can improve the engagement dynamic of its young employees.
