110 Leading Companies to Recruit EDHEC Students

EDHEC Job Forum 2013

Dressed in suits and with resumes in hand, students browsed the top French and international firms, which ranged from banks and consultancy firms to food and technology companies.

The strength of the EDHEC Job Forum is that it brings together, at a single event, multinationals from a diverse array of industries. At Espace Champerret, the fresh-faced students clutched resumes and wandered around a labyrinth of booths that included Société Générale, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Edmond de Rothschild, PwC, Deloitte, KMPG, Kurt Salmon, Unilever, Nestlé, PepsiCo France, Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola Enterprise among others.

These companies came to meet EDHEC students and presented their companies and the career opportunities they had in store. It is an excellent platform for our students to meet managers and EDHEC alumni and to talk with them in a pleasant environment. Our students were also able to interact and build their professional networks as well as give recruiters their CVs for key insights and professional feedbacks.

Moreover this year, the Career Centre organised a speed recruiting session for non-European students, with companies like Axa, Groupe Lactalis, Groupe Yves Rocher, LVMH and P&G as an effort to help international students find internship and job opportunities.

In general, through the EDHEC Job Forum 2013, participants had the opportunity to network with top managers, recruiters, and candidates from all across Europe and beyond, which gave them a great platform to promote themselves and connect with key industry experts.

Here is what our students have to say about the event:

GaelleVanherpe (MSc in Audit & Management Control from Belgium)
“Being an Msc student in Audit & Management Control, I focused on audit firms and other corporates. The EDHEC Forum for me was an excellent platform to interact and build networks with industry professionals. I received insights on my CV and how to apply to those firms from these professionals.”

GaoKuang (MSc in Finance from China)
“ The EDHEC forum in a nutshell offered me information on application procedures and current openings available in firms that are of my interest and additionally, it gave me an overview of the job and internship opportunities available in France for an international student.”

Sylvain Bourrat (MSc in Corporate Finance from France)
"Being interested in Audit and Financial Control and Consulting, I found the Forum to be quite adapted to my needs. The Forum gave me the chance to discuss and pass my resume to each one of the Big 4, Accenture, Capgemini and quite a lot of private companies. Not only I could receive valuableinformation for my applications and email contacts, but I also had the surprise to be contacted directly for interviews a few days after the Forum. To conclude, I would say that the Forum is not a place to pick up jobs but an opportunity to substantially increase your chance to get one."

Sarra Ben Jemaa (MSc in Corporate Finance from Tunisia)
“The Edhec forum was a great opportunity to meet several companies at the same time and to understand what those enterprises really need in terms of competencies.I had the chance to apply directly to the companies I am interested in and through that I succeeded in obtaining interviews for jobs.”

NevenaLukic (MSc in Corporate Finance from Serbia)
“Meeting company representatives face-to-face was a good opportunity to ask for specific details on current openings and practice networking and interviewing skills. Majority of the representatives were very willing to give detailed information on their recruiting process and their job requirements, while others provided more general information. However, it is my belief that French speaking students could benefit more from the forum compared to the students that are not fluent in French and/or are not students from EU countries.”
