His Excellency was accompanied by his Director of Information, Pascal D. K. Liu and Philippe Dejardin, privileged contact of the Embassy in the Côte d’Azur.
In a festive ambiance, the Ambassador detailed the country’s main assets both for companies and future graduates. His Excellency vividly presented the flagship companies and products of the 24th Economic Power, 18th in the Economic Freedom ranking and 5th economy in Asia-Pacific.
The Ambassador underlined that companies attracted by the economic growth in the area usually invest in China and sometimes underestimate the real potential of Taiwan. He emphasized on the attractiveness of the country both on economical, political and cultural levels.
The Ambassador then discussed job and internships offers in various sectors. He indicated the growing number of French companies implanted in Taiwan such as French luxury goods companies including Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Christian Dior and other companies such as Carrefour, Société Générale, EADS, L’Oréal, BNP Paribas among others.
The Ambassador concluded his presentation by “Think Taiwan rather than China or Hong-Kong as we have more liberty to work and live! ”The Ambassador captivated the attention of our students who truly enjoyed his presentation.
Every year, EDHEC is in Taipei to meet with Taiwanese students wishing to pursue their studies at EDHEC. The school also counts alumni from Taiwan and others graduates working in the country.
