Competing in the EDHEC Trail Race

Written on 03 June 2014.

The EDHEC event is known as one of the hardest, multi-sport trail races in France. Competitors, including names from some of the world’s leading teams, fought it out on mountain bike and in a variety of other sporting disciplines over five days.

In addition to classical disciplines, the event involved canoe and raft sessions, an orienteering race that took competitors through medieval Entrevaux and the ruins of Gréolières, and canyoning and abseiling in the vicinity of the Cascade de Courmes waterfall.

After 5 days of intense sporting challenges, the X-bionic team claimed the 2014 trophy at the finishing line on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, not far from the EDHEC campus.

Demanding, convivial and environmentally responsible are three words that encapsulate the EDHEC Trail Race and which help to explain its escalating success year-after-year.
